*** is preparing a show titled “Dirt,” to air in early 2009. Possible topics for the show are “no-till” farming, dust storms, mud baths, mudslides, dirt for stadiums/arenas (i.e., rodeos, dirt bike/motorcross racing, monster truck events, etc.), landscaping, groundskeepers, artificial dirt, geophagy (eating dirt), erosion, sinkholes, street cleaning, dirt in art, sand, clay, silt, peat bogs, sludge, archaeology, dirt in architecture (mud bricks, mud huts, etc.), major earth-moving projects, lunar and Martian soil, dirt/stain removal products and processes, dirt/stain resistant materials, flood recovery/cleanup, removal of toxins from soil, and many more. We are interested in hearing from soil scientists, ecologists, geochemists, archaeologists, geologists, earth architects, landscapers, groundskeepers, fill-dirt manufacturers, construction companies, artists who work with dirt (mud painters, mud or clay sculptors, etc.), people who collect dirt, historians, experts, and anyone with interesting stories or knowledge who can give us the scoop on dirt.
